New Youth Theatre Group launches. The youth theatre company will be run by experienced theatre practitioners and offers professional training in drama and acting techniques and mentoring from industry professionals.

The National Youth Arts Trust (NYAT) has announced that its first Youth Theatre Company will be forming in Ely.

Students between the ages of 13-19 and studying at either Ely College, Witchford Village College, King’s Ely or Soham Village College will be eligible to audition.

Held weekly on Saturday afternoons they will cover a range of skills in vocal work, script work, devising, confidence building, team-work and improvisation.

Some of the highlights of the National Youth Arts Trust’s calendar are the fundraising and hospitality events hosted by its patrons for friends and supporters of the charity, as well as sponsors and corporate partners.

The National Youth Arts Trust helps provide access to the performing arts, at all stages, for young people from non-privileged backgrounds.

The National Youth Arts Trust is extraordinarily fortunate to have the enthusiastic support of inspirational patrons drawn from theatre, television, film, music, dance and politics who recognise the need for this charity and offer their help in a variety of ways.
