Hollywood is knocking at Ely’s door again.

Just announced, Ely Cathedral is again to be used in an upcoming film.

A new adaptation of William Shakespears ‘Macbeth’ is to have scenes filmed inside Ely Cathedral.

The film will star Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard and be directed by Justin Kurzel.

Some scenes are to be filmed as early as March 20 in the Lady Chapel inside the cathedral.

This is not the first time the cathedral has been used on film. It has appeared six times before and I’m sure it will be again in the future.
