The Cambridgeshire Community Lottery has been launched as a new fundraising initiative to support local good causes. Managed by Gatherwell, a leading lottery management company, the lottery allows participants to buy tickets online for £1 each, with a chance to win prizes ranging from £25 to £25,000.
A generous 60% of ticket proceeds will go to charities, community groups, and non-profit organizations, with 50% directly supporting the chosen cause and 10% allocated to the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation to fund additional local initiatives. The remaining funds will cover prizes, operating costs, and VAT.
The lottery will officially launch on May 20, with an online webinar for local good causes interested in participating. Tickets will be available for purchase on the Cambridgeshire Community Lottery website.
